Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, while relatively clean and tidy, felt cramped and in need of upgrading, especially with dirty carpets. The service was lacking in communication and attentiveness, although the bar area was nice. The location was excellent for my needs, being close to the seafront and with helpful hotel staff. The dining options were decent but could use some improvement. Overall, the value for money was reasonable considering the location.
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms had been refurbished, but cleanliness was an issue with dirty wallpaper and filthy paintwork. The lack of amenities like sugar and milk and dead flies on the window sill were disappointing. Parking was also a challenge. Despite feeling tired due to the worn-out state of the room, the location was convenient for accessing attractions in Paignton.
The hotel rooms look exactly like they do in the pictures, and the staff are friendly and helpful with recommendations of lovely places to visit. However, my room was exceptionally dirty with traces of the previous occupant left behind, and the shower was covered in sand. The thin walls also made it easy to hear conversations from neighboring rooms.
